We believe in Fun, it’s even in our name, but we also strongly believe in safety. Which is why, we have rules in place about wet inflatables and length requirements for extension cords. The reason we limit extension cord length is to avoid fire and melted plugs which can lead to damaged equipment. If you plug numerous extension cords together or use one longer than 50 feet the chances of overloading the cord increases. A fire during your event is not the kind of excitement you are aiming for! As such, distance from power supplies should be factored in when planning events at your school, church, or company.
Safety is also a factor when we require either the company’s grounds crew or miss dig to mark the ground for underground hazards when we stake our inflatables. No one wants us (or anyone) to accidentally stake through a network cable or a sprinkler line, and definitely not a sewer pipe! That would be one way to get your event discussed around the water cooler, but not the kind of chatter we want your event to have. We want your guests to discuss how fun it was, how Sally beat Bill at their Dart Game competition and how all the children had to much Cotton Candy, but it was totally worth it because of the smiles. We have been planning and executing events for over 50 years. This means when you choose us for your company picnic, school carnival, church events, we will be able to help guide you with layout options for your gathering. We can do a site inspection and provide layout maps if necessary. We have some inflatables that can only be stacked due to their size, which means grass can be a requirement. You might have a fantastic parking lot with plenty of space, but sometimes our equipment can’t be used on it due to safety concerns. We use LONG stakes to properly secure our inflatables so that they can’t get picked up should the wind get a bit gusty. No one wants a balloon ride when they were just trying to climb the Rockwall! The one factor we can’t control is mother nature. Unfortunately, our inflatable attractions are not suitable for rain. A slippery bounce house is just a disaster waiting to happen – because vinyl gets slippery fast! Therefore, when rain happens, we need to deflate and cover the inflatables and then resume play once the weather moves along. Often times we can develop a rain plan. A large gym, barn or lobby can hold some of our smaller inflatables easily and allow for fun. Wind is the second factor mother nature often brings. A nice gentle breeze is welcome at events, who doesn’t enjoy a nice breeze to help keep everyone cool, but a strong wind can create hazards and temporarily stop the inflatable fun. If you are using us for an event where our staff remains on site, be assured our supervisors have many years of experience watching weather and adjusting the plans when necessary. We do the hard work, so you can simply enjoy your event. Give us a call today to see how we can help you plan your next great event safely but with loads of Fun! 1-800-772-7587 As we approach July, being a School Gift Shop Company means we think Christmas in July! We have over 80 carnival midway games, prizes, inflatables, cotton candy, pop corn and sno kone machines, plus much more! Didn’t plan your picnic yet? Give us a call, we have a couple dates open and we’d love to help you plan some fun for your employees and their families. We have a great crew this year, we held our annual crew training in June. Crew training is the perfect time to introduce the picnic business to the new hires and go over any new safety features with the returning crew. We are proud to be a third generation Michigan business. Our warehouse is in a small village, so it’s a great way for local teenagers to get their first job without needing a car to travel to a bigger city. It’s fun watching the shy kids come out of their shells as the picnic season rolls along. We update our showroom with our new Gift Shop Line. Always a fun thing to see, and ooooh and ahhh over the new gifts carefully selected during the bitter cold winter months. If your school is not signed up with us, they should be. Great way to support local while earning our Fun Services’ exclusive ferry ticket coupon for each child (12 and under) a FREE ride to Mackinac Island, and Pictured Rocks with Adult Ticket purchase. It’s a great way to save money as families enjoy all Michigan has to offer for summer vacation.
